Hi! First I'd like to thank everybody for visiting my site. I named my service Alla's Cozy Cuisines. Why Alla? It is my name. Why Cozy Cuisine? In my translation from English to Ukrainian it means comfort. Ukrainians like to eat and always feel comfortable around good food. That is what I want to share with you. My passion for cooking started very early in my childhood. Growing up in Ukraine and in a multinational country like The Soviet Union. I gained different cultural influences from my ethnic neighbors. There were nice Jewish moms with an ability to cook something very tasty with inexpensive ingredients. I still love to use their favorite recipes, especially for the stuffed fish. Georgians! Such a joyous temperament these people have! Their cuisine is the same. The dish of shishki-bob and soup “Kharcho" make you dance and sing. Armenians! Their meat dishes with a variety of greens, spices and veggies will bring you to the peek of Mt. Ararat. Usbekistanians with their famous dish of pilaf (meat, rice,carrots, onions and different spices). Cooking is not daily routine for me. I love being able to entertain family and friends allowing me to create and utilize different flavors and presentations. I like to travel. Many of us like to travel. Not many of us can afford travel much in these hard economic times. Therefore, I am going take you with me. I will offer my way to travel. We are going to watch a movie about different countries to learn their culture and have the same meal that those people eat everyday. So, Lets take a trip and don't forget your appetite. |
